I'm a Naturalist, Conservationist and Birder from the small country of Wales. I started my life as a Birder back when I was 10 with my tiny binoculars and 'British Birds' book, I wouldn't call myself a birder back then, I was just a young girl who loved to watch Red Kites circling above and listening to birds out the garden. The time when I progressed into a keen Birder and Conservationist is when I began to Volunteer for the WWT in Llanelli in 2010. From there I realised that there is more to life than just birds and thus started my love for wildlife in general, especially birds, butterflies and my obsession with Raptors. I currently work for the WWT as a Learning Assistant, I run the Monday Munchkins which is a play-scheme for encouraging pre-school children to be interested in wildlife. I mainly teach schools and lead events such as Bat Walks, Dawn Chorus and Ringing Demonstrations.
I have a T permit for Bird Ringing, and am a member of Gower Ringing Group. My highlight so far that I have had the pleasuring in ringing is definitely European Storm Petrel, Ringing provides a major insight into a bird's life and collects a huge amount of data that can be used for it's scientific value to protect these birds in the future.

Memorable Events:
Talk for Gower Ornithology Society March 2015: Encouraging young people to the group.
I had the pleasure of giving a talk with a close friend; Emma-Louise Cole to the Gower Ornithology Society on how to encourage young people into the group and creating a way that they can share their experience onto the younger generation.
Educational Events at WWT Llanelli 2014/2015
Part of my job is to lead the educational events at WWT Llanelli, these can range from Bat Walks where we take a group out in search of bats using detectors. Dawn Chorus and High Tide Watch are other events I pay a part in, with my love and knowledge of birders, I love doing these events since it's showing people the wonders of wildlife and how they can appreciate the other things such as identification tips and bird songs.
